WhatsApp launched a new surface within the app—Channels. And it made sense that WhatsApp had its own channel at launch to talk its global audience and set the bar as to what a channel could be.

So I built an internal creative team to make content, and we grew The WhatsApp Channel to over 200m followers in 18months—with it becoming the world's biggest channel within just 3 months.
